From Framing to Finishing: Late-Summer Progress at Vista Townhomes
Every construction season has a stretch where progress becomes impossible to miss from the curb. At Vista Townhomes, we're in it. Exteriors that were bare frame a few months ago now read as a finished streetscape, and the site is shifting from "under construction" to "almost home."
A Streetscape Coming Together
Since our last update, the painted exteriors have had time to settle in, and the warm, grounded palette we chose for Vista is doing exactly what we hoped — it ties each unit into the surrounding Cowichan Valley landscape instead of standing apart from it. Walking the site now, you get a real sense of the community taking shape, not just individual homes.
Crews have moved on to the details that make a house feel finished: trim work, exterior fixtures, and the first stages of hardscaping around entries and driveways. It's less dramatic than watching framing go up, but it's the stage that makes the biggest difference to how a home actually feels to arrive at.
Grounds and Landscaping Underway
With the exteriors largely resolved, landscaping crews are starting to define the shared spaces between homes — walkways, planting beds, and the softer, greener touches that turn a row of townhomes into a neighbourhood. This is one of our favourite phases, because it's the first time Vista starts to look lived-in rather than built.
Inside, finishing trades continue to move unit by unit, and the pace has been steady through the summer months. We'll have more specifics on interior milestones in an upcoming update.
Momentum Buyers Can Feel
For buyers who've been following along, this is the phase where a floor plan on paper starts to feel like a real address. Visiting the site now gives a far better sense of scale, light, and finish quality than renderings ever could — if you haven't walked it recently, it's worth the trip.
We'll keep sharing progress as Vista moves toward completion. Thank you for following along with us this summer.
